I’m just about ready to start my 18 hour trip to Las Vegas for EMCWorld 2016. The first hop to Miami should be a relatively quiet one (if I can get some sleep); on the second I’ll start to prepare for the madness that will ensue next week. The agenda is packed with good events and new product launches…

Good news: I will be flying out to Storage Field Day 10 which will take place in Silicon Valley on May the 24th till the 27th. Nine companies will be presenting, of which one company came out of stealth just yesterday! Some of these companies I’ve met at earlier Storage Field Days and I’m looking forward to the progress they’ve made over the last couple of months.
Typing this at Schiphol airport, I can’t help feeling slightly tired. The alarm clock started blaring at 03:00 this night and with that, my trip to Storage Field Day 8 has officially started. With the first leg of the journey from DUS to AMS being over already, I can now settle for the long haul to SFO. It’s bound to be an incredibly exciting week once again and I’m looking forward to meeting up with a lot of familiar faces, two new members of the Tech Field Day family and 10 super exciting companies. Stroopwafels incoming!
Good news (mostly for me, I’ll admit): I’ll be visiting EMC World 2015 again! Just like the last edition EMC World will once again be held in The Venetian in Las Vegas. I’m looking forward to meeting my fellow EMC Elect over there as well as absorbing some new knowledge in the various lectures and/or general sessions which will be held during those days. If you also want to go, I’ve got a discount code you can use… so read on!
We’ve made it! After a rude alarm clock that woke me up at 3AM CEST back in the Netherlands I started the 2 hour drive to Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. Along the way I picked up Arjan Timmerman whom I met last year at Storage Field Day 6 and together we traveled from AMS to LHR in London. There we met up with Enrico Signoretti (also a familiar face from SFD6) and with the three of us we boarded the 747 to SFO. The Storage Field Day 7 adventure was about to begin!
